Mrs Danvers had a list of “odd jobs” requiring attention throughout her home.

Outside, Pearwood reinstated lighting and repaired some of the patio slabwork; replaced rotten timbers in a garden gate; removed an invasive climbing plant; and cleared and serviced the gutters.

Inside, Pearwood filled and painted some fine cracks and screw holes in a number of walls; and hung a dozen assorted pictures and mirrors, including the rather heavy example shown here.

Literally, all in a day’s work.
